ABOUT ME

Franchesca Dawson

Franchesca Dawson is from the Richmond, Virginia area. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Professional Writing.

She spent most of her career working in the printing industry. She gives that job credit for her being able to raise her children in relative comfort, live in a nice neighborhood, and pursue her educational goals. 

She recently started to pursue her long wish to become a romance novelist, with the  hope that by the time she retires, her writing career would be off and running. She has many areas of interest: She enjoys writing, reading, learning about nature, and likes to ponder the meaning of her life.

Her inability to land a fiction writing class coaxed her into trying a course in nonfiction writing and she fell in love with it. She says, “It allows and sometimes forces me to reexamine situations, conversations, and thought processes to gain a better understanding and to build a better future.”

Franchesca resides in Gettysburg, PA with her beagle-bulldog mix, Sadie.
